Title: 1997 Honda CR500 - NEW never ridden
Post by: Crawford~Vegas on July 24, 2010, 05:51:00 PM
Its a long story but I bought a 1997 CR500 that has never been ridden. It has the dealer tag on it from new (Kolbe Honda).
It is completely stock and has been stored in climate controlled museum since it came from the dealer so all the rubber and hoses are soft just like new. The chain has the original factory grease and all the paint dots etc. It is on display at Malcolm Smith's shop in Riverside, CA. Does anybody know what it is worth?

How do you get a 1997 cr500 that has never been ridden before.  My guess is its worth a whole lot.

Came out of a private collection (Primm). Even more unbelievable is there were 8 new Cr500s. 92', 93', 94'.....2001.
Primm had one of each year from 92' I think. Some had aftermarket parts - new too. My friend got the 94 with all after market suspension. Marzochi I think. Some guy from NY bought the other 6 cash unseen. There are other 2 strokes bikes coming out but they are mostly 250's and pricy. Contact    Jeff Grady totalbodyfitness@cox.net . I know he has 93 Cr250 new like Jeremy McGrath won on and a new 1976 Elsinore.
