Title: no power valves on 2000 cr250
Post by: madmangil on February 23, 2020, 05:59:02 PM
A top end was done on my 2000 cr250. Now the power valves do not operate. I took the cover off and I am unable to rotate the valve drive shaft when gripped with a pliers. I am thinking that the valve drive shaft was mis-aligned with the pinion shaft when I replaced the cylinder. Am I able to correct this without lifting or removing the cylinder?
thank you
Gil

Who did the top end? You or a shop? In either case something is assembled wrong. Most likely would not require removal of the cylinder bot you will need to re assemble power valve assembly. While they look complex they are really simple to do.

Msambuco,
Thank you for the response. It was me that did the top end. I guess that I will need to look into how to re-align the shafts.
