Hey guys, We'll be doing an article soon on what really happens at the races.. from the privateer team standpoint.
Let me know what you would like to see covered in it. Should be a good one!
-
Awesome, looking forward to it. I am curious how the 'big" teams treat you guys.
-
I would like a focus on people´s reactions when they notice that... there is a 2 stroke only team racing seriously on professional level. Opinions from other riders, audience in general, and so on...
-
half naked to fully naked women would be cool with me, and subtitles for robbie marshalls thick new england accent.
-
I would like to see an indepth comparison on how the factory stars get treated and how the privateers get treated in regards to qualifing timed practice at the races and where you get placed in the pits. The kind of stuff that just doesn't get covered in the mainstream. I would also like to see some of what goes on between the races like how do you get training time and track time while on the road between the nationals. What happens between the motos at the races?
I would really enjoy some helmet cam footage. Try something different like putting a gopro on the mechanic with the pitboard. Yea, he would look pretty silly but no one ever gets to see the races from that angle!
-
Thanks for doing so.
race entry fee?
pit parking fee?
gas money fee just to get there?
-
That would be great. I would like to see the road tripping, frustrations of wrenching (maybe that's just me lol), the rider's meeting/walk, etc. The little stuff no one ever gets to see unless you do it yourself at the local level, but obviously in the big league's you guys are running.
-
That will be great to see how it REALLY is. Shows us the costs and all the workings of racing a national series for the common man.
-
Great suggestions guys, this should be a good read for everyone.
-
I would be interested in the biggest surprises you and your riders receive at each event and for the series overall and with respect to getting the bikes to the starting line. What does it take to overcome these hurdles? Also the biggest successes and the little things (like dropping a piston pin clip into the crankcase 15 min before the moto start) that help you to demonstrate your patience and fortitude!
-
I want to see something on the everyday wrenching, data gathering, tuning, modifying, and dialing in of your bikes for your myriad of riders.
-
Like someone said above, how the big teams treat you. If you asked a favor would they help? Do they invite the privateers to bbq that Friday night? Things like that.
Don't know if you'll put it out or not but what teams are the nice guys and what teams are the ****s?
Great question for you to ask of the bench racers, can't wait to read about it. Love hearing the small things people outside of the teams never know about. Brings up my next question. What is the one thing that goes on that people never hear about unless you're in the pits.
Thanks

I hear RV is pretty much shagging everyone these days
Like most said though, just your experiences or unexpected things or things you typically don't hear or wouldn't have thought going in.It sounds like it will be interesting.
