This last week we had PRS (pylon racing school), it's the prelude to the air races. Everything went pretty smooth and uneventful until....
a couple jets ran into each other going around the course. The number on the tail was 777

talk about an "OH S#!T!" moment.
-
That looks like an expensive fix. Could have been much worse though, at least no one was hurt (right?).
-
Were you there? I have not been to the air races in years....
-
It happened about 20 minutes after I left, definitely an oh s#it moment for both of them. Nobody hurt.
-
Bad luck at that airport.

Bad luck at that airport.
depends on how you look at it, nobody was hurt and that was the only incident, it was a pretty good week

Is Bob Hannah still air racing?
-
No, he hasn't raced planes in a long time, he got into an argument with the race officials once and swore off the air races after that
-
That redefines : Too close for comfort.
