Yamaha Japan has formally entered into receivership with most of the viable assets being purchased by MI Motorcycles of England. MI has plans to relocate all lowend production machinery to Indonesia to produce scooters for emerging markets and transfer all high end machinery to England to help bolster production of the new MMX line of premium offroad competition motorcycles. When asked what they would do with the existing line of Yamaha powersports products MI management replied that "they're just a bunch of bollocks and all left over machines would be recycled".
Sad end to a great motorcycle.

That would have been a better one. Wasn't someone saying how funny it would be hack the honda facebook page and post things about two strokes? Today would have been PERFECT day to do that

EPA declares unburned hydrocarbons less of a threat than CO2 global warming. Eliminates envionmental restrictions on two stroke engines. Dodge announces their new 3/4 ton pickup truck based on an inline 6, 5 liter two stroke that makes 600 HP and 500 Ft-Lbs of torque. Weighs 1/2 ton less than the diesel version. Styling points made with 3 expansion chambers exiting the hood on either side. The sound is described as like a "Platoon of Angels Belching in the Astrodome".
