Checking out the Pipe and Silencer!
P.P.S - I got my wisdom teeth pulled the day before thats why i'm all over the place. Mouths killing me and the pain pills don't do crap.
Here she is awhile before the rebuild.
My brothers dad put the bike up for me and just power washed it and put it up so she started to rust, needless to say i was pissed.
Can't believe I let it get this bad...
My first engine pull
Before:
Starting to clean the engine and cases up
Afterwards, Huge difference
All the reeds were melted, the bike idled very high
My first time opening the engine, I was very excited.
Rebuild time
Cylinder was in good condition
The new piston
Put everything back together
New chain and sprockets
New MX51's
Rear:
Before and after
Old ones:
New parts from motosport
Fresh grips
Cleaning up the swingarm
Ordered a new chain slider but it didn't come with washers and i have no idea where to get them.
New silencer
New pipe
Greasing them bearings
Forks are leaking a little bit
Found a circlip while cleaning up, hope to god its the old one
My workspace and pimped out lamp
Anybody know what the hell this is and where it goes? it seems to go on the carb but the bolts don't like up and there's none on the actual piece

Good job on the cleaning.
In the picture of the right side of the motor, the powervalve actuator, is that round disc piece on backwards? It looks like the backside is facing out? If I remember right, mine has two cutouts on it?

I would suggest making absolute certain that circlip is one of the old ones before riding... Nice job though, awesome to see!

Wasn't happy... Hey don't throw those circlips away by the by! If you ever need a pin for something around that size they slot through and you just bend em up. Fantastic stuff cos they are strong steel too!

Whats a Works pipe? Like whats the difference between the fmf fatty and the fmf factory fatty for example?
I'm not 100% sure, but with Pro Circuit it has the factory finish of raw metal and weld marks instead of the platinum finish. Maybe someone else can fill us in as i'd also like to know.

I can't find an owners manual pdf online for free to save my life... ughI have a pdf for a 2003 rm 125. It is very similar to the 250, i used it all the time for my 2007 rm 250. its about 20 mb.

PC call em a "works" pipe FMF call em "Factory"

What do they do anyways when they "rebuild" your shock? I bought my 125 from a kid who weighed probably 200-250 (just guessing) and I am 150 pounds. He sent the suspension when he owned it to pro action, and now I own the bike and the suspension is really stiff for my weight. What should I do?
There is a lot than can be changed, but you would need it pulled apart to tell what had been done. Spring rates and compression and rebound shim stacks are the main focus of a revalve. Just twist that throttle harder and the shock will work better

This. Theres not much point in getting your shock all mickied up if you leave your forks in stock trim. Why? Cos one end will be differently valved to the other resulting in an unbalance.

Got the shock back yesterday, she's all together just need to break a few links off the chain.
I get the forks today, I also need a clutch lever and to get some oil while i'm at the shop. Pretty pumped my only dislike is how far over the R304 shorty sits over the tire, its really gonna get scratched up after the first ride.

Got a call when i woke up this morning. Bad news..... right fork dampener rod needs to be replaced. Its $700 OEM and thats not happening. Can anyone help me track down a set of 2005 rm250 forks i can buy please
