Title: Who knows yz forks and shocks
Post by: streaks383 on April 23, 2012, 03:25:56 PM
I have an 05 YZ250 already valved and sprung for my weight.  In 06 Yamaha went to the SSS suspension making it 90% speed sensitive where mine is only 30%.  So how much better is the SSS stuff, should I look into buying it.  If I do are the forks the same on 125s, 250s, 250f, 450f?  How about the shock and linkage, is this stuff bolt on and go, what needs to be done?

the forks are the same across all the models, i believe.

if i came across the SSS (48mm) I'd put them on my KTM.

the 2005 model YZ got those fancy whats its name, speed sensitive shocks or something. They adjust themselves to the terrain and the force with which you impacted with it. Everything prior was just the good old kayabas.
