Title: A profit of the 2 stroke addiction!!!
Post by: Stusmoke on February 08, 2012, 08:01:47 AM
I've heard alot of people say that everyone under 30 has bought into the dumper bs.

I'm very proud to say that I am 16 years old and Utterly in love with the sound, the smell, the excitement, the adrenelin and the CHALLENGE of riding that smoking screaming Demon!
I went to look at a bike yesterday as some of you know I'm in the market for a 125 and came across an 03 RM 125 in my local town which was insane considering how tiny it is. It was a magical bike and I plan on making it my own. Anyway the moral of the story is when he kicked her up (second kick, X TO THE D!) the smoke flowed out the pipe, that tell tale RIIINGGNNING ning ning n-ning ning reached my ears I'm confident I got excited... Been waaaay too long since I've heard such a noise. I never notice people farting anymore cos I'm so used to the sound hanging around the local track :(

Anyway my point here is: DON'T LOOSE HEART COMRADES!!! I'm never buying into it and I tell everyone I meet to stay away from those turd burgers!

Man When I sat on that RM... It just felt so RIGHT!!! Oh another thing I should note is that was idling and being reved for about 4 minutes and I could still touch the expansion chamber without having my fingers stick to it with heat. Again, X TO THE D! On my CRF250R if theres moisture on the pipe the moment it fires up it starts steaming of it, that should tell people something... The seat was beautifully soft and squishy too, unlike my old CRF250R that, if it wasn't for the weight disadvantage, I would've replaced the seat with a slab of concrete to allow a bit more give in it

XD=X to the D to some people... Sorry I have a pretty big presence in computers too and thats the way some of those.... people talk. It rubs off.

This thread is gonna die pretty soon and I acknowledge it was pretty pointless to begin with. I also realised (just after I posted it god damn it) that I miss spelt Prophet... Woooops.
The main purpose (and I hope I succeeded) was to give the "old breed" hope, Its not dead and if I have a say it never will be, hopefully it wont come to that.

Stusmoke you are forgiven for your mistaken foray into the 4 stroke world..  My son, now 22 dare I say this is a quad turd...  yes I said it...   :'(  Yes his quad is a stroker...    :'(  He's on a stroker because a smoker quad is ridiculously expensive.  >:-D   No one is selling them at a reasonable price.  He still loves to hope on my Katoom and rip around on it, but he likes 4 wheels.. He still feels the love for a 2 stroke and will have one again some day, when he finds the right quad (smoker) in his price range.   :D

You can find a good used Yamaha blaster for about $1500. It's a two stroke 200cc engine. Pretty fun for the trails and a pretty quick quad. If not that, then a Yamaha banshee is about $2000 -$4000 used in good shape. The banshee is a twin cylinder two stroke, loads of power and really fast for a quad.

Quads are good fun I won't deny it. When I go down to help my brother in law out on his property I usually blow the old cobwebs out of his quad, its a four stroke unfortunately but its still good fun. It also doesn't have the same repulsive noise that most thumpers do. But I won't buy another 2 wheel fart machine for a bloody long time
Yeah don't worry about the X to the D thing its not important.

Two stroke quads are a blast, but the majority of them are 20 years outdated. And at this point it would be cheaper to make your own than it would be for you to go out and buy a trx250r and update it. The banshee and the yz250 motor practically bolt into the YFZ chassis, and ESR is coming out with a yz250 big bore kit: http://www.eddie-sanders-racing.com/category_s/126.htm

Banshee's are a blast... Tons of power and speed for a quad. I had one but I sold it a while back... I'm not a quad guy by any means I like two wheels  ;D

Banshees also suck in the dirt! Sand quad only IMO
