Title: rm 125 piston size's

 I'm about to order a piston for my  rm125 but I noticed that the standard bore wiseco is 54mm , other brands say standard bore is 53.95 . why are they different sized like that ? or is that not enough to make a difference?  Also are Pro-x pistons good ? Never used one and interested to know . thanks in advance

they just rounded the # up it will be the correct size

The small amount of difference should be fine. I have never used a pro x piston, I stick to wiseco, but if you do end up by using a pro x, let me know how it works out.

Would actualy be a good idea to measure the cylinder before buying the piston. If the cylinder has worn 0.01mm you can go to a 53.96mm piston. Pro-X pistons are generaly 10g lighter than stock pistons but for a strange reason have 10g heavier gudgeons. Using the Pro-X with the stock gudgeon works well.

Wiseco 54 mm is correct. I have one in my rm. Runs very strong, and I am extremely happy with it.  :)

just make sure you have the correct height on the piston meaning for the correct year. suzuki played with different rod lengths from 98-04. they went from a long rod motor 110mm length which used a shorter piston, to a shorter length rod with domed piston around 98mm i think??, then in 04-up the switched back to a long rod 104mm with flat top piston.

i only mention this as i was was given the 03 piston for my 04. it was taller and domed. i somehow got it started but i noticed the spark plug kept backing out after riding and i was down on power. i pulled it apart and the piston was slapping the head. it ended up damaging the crank bearings
