Oh yeah, and in 2005, "wobbling at high speed is reduced by carefully shaped intake ports" I think the Kawi engineers may be on to something....... ;)
I think the whole 2005 article is my favorite :D

"0.25 Litre Engine enhanced by stronger fuel Jets"
What does this mean?

0.25 Litre = 250cc, stronger jets must be because old ones were weak and broke, being such a high stress part............... lol ;D

And I've always liked Kawasaki 2-strokes but after reading that crazy article I must have drank to much green kool-aid in my early twenties when I owned a Kawi 250 tecate 3 wheeler. It ran decent for a little while but even after decent maintainence it blew up & put a dime size hole in the piston! I sold the green machine to a guy that said he would'nt mind rebuilding the tryke but he said the only way he would buy it is if I threw in my a-star riding boots! That sucked but I went ahead & threw in the boots just to get the 3-wheeler out of the garage. ???

The fuel line thing ALMOST makes sense, because when you're really on the pipe on my dad's '81 Maico 250, the petcock doesn't move fuel into the carburetor fast enough to meet the engine's demand for gasoline (the tank and petcock are from a different year bike, though). Of course, the fuel line isn't the problem, but... whatever. I just thought it was an interesting illustration of how much the thing drinks.

???
I was right on track untill the 2005 list, they kinda skipped over the whole redesign in 03, and I'm sorry but no KX250 in USA history has ever come equipped with a spark arrestor. I wish. And the inside of my pipe is polished, holy cow :o!! I'm putting the stocker back on now. NOT
