Do the conventional forks make it a 99?

I thought the year 2000 was when they switched over to USD's, could well be wrong though.

Someone told me that they saw 2 in a shop around 2003 / 2004 or so.  They had the previous year model and the later model.  The later model had the WP USD and the previous year had the M Conventional forks.  So if that's the case it could be 99 to almost mid-2000s.

The bike in the ad is a dutch built 99.In the 2000s you could have the conventional WP (nice fork) or the USD WP (needs some setting up).
