Title: So,how far afield, from the original point of origin.......
Post by: ford832 on September 04, 2010, 10:36:32 AM
....has your TSM/Revanche T made it?(show evidence)-lol.
How about the Bay of Fundy during Hurricane Earl.Hard to tell in the pic but the rain was coming down in sheets and the wind was howling.Big waves but you can't see far enough out past the breakwater.I threw in the second shot as the little one was with me and took the pic while posing.Take your best shot....

Well ok,not China but TSM home. What can I say,I like seeing other geographical locations where like minded individuals frequent-and not just tracks.Just figured it was a good way to see some off the beaten track areas in other parts of the world. :)

Great idea and cool photos... they certainly brought a smile to my face!!

A few more of you have shirts, why not share a photo with the rest of us?? Doesn't matter if you take it at home, in the backyard or on the moon... it would be fun to see them...

Good on you guys for helping out.As for riding backwards, pbbbfftttttttt,I've done that-and back flips, front flips,no handers,no footers and many more.Of course, none were intentional and I didn't land any of them either-does that count? :D
I may go south this winter so if I do,I'll take the T and get a pic-at a red light district or something :o

Hey Ford,  I wasn't too far from you during hurricane Earl - Baxter State Park area of Maine.  Rained like hell for about 12 hours, roof on my wife's family's camp leaked like a screen door on a submarine!!

I recently got a new job which requires that I travel. I live near Pittsburgh, PA, but recently have traveled to Houston TX, Birmingham UK, and as I type this Prague in the Czech Rebublic.  If it wasn't for the TSM I think I'd go crazy on these trips.  There's nothing like working 14 hours getting back to your hotel and checking in with TSM.  This website has been a becon of light.  Of course I'm pretty boring on these trips...  its too easy to get into a bad situation, so I just dream about the bling I can add to my bike...   8)

So when did the Jamaicans deport you back home? 8)

I'm the one on the left, can't you tell :D
They wanted to deport me shortly after I arrived but I hung on.
Truthfully,I was ready to come back after two days. This trip has been a long time coming and likely we wouldn't be able to afford to do it again-I guess I'm not a resort person.I did manage to go wandering at times off the resort and see some of the locals and how most lived-interesting for sure and a struggle for many.
On another note,I just barely made it outside the terminal before I got offered one of their funny vegetable sticks-and consistently thereafter wherever I went though no one else I knew of there had the same experience. The wife says I look the part but maybe it was the TSM shirt :D

Be careful of those vegetable stick's.
I hear they increase your appetite.  ;)

From what little I remember of my youth,it smelled gooooooddddd.Much of it is in rope form, almost like plug tobacco.I got the munchies just looking at it-but that's as far as I went.Old age and responsibilities and all that.

Hmmmm, let's see, return to domestic life in cold, snowy Canada or stay and be pursued by handsome men under hot Jamaican sun?Hopefully there wasn't a vacant seat on that return flight to the great white north. :-X

Years ago a friend of mine knew a guy who bought a small island in the Caribbean and was scraping together the necessary funds to open a small resort. My friend finally made it down there one January day and he said it was colder and was raining more than back home in Abbottsford,British Columbia!

Unfortunately, she returned with me-misery loves company I suppose.Besides, she's not big enough to appeal to the Jamaican guys-yet.
Your buddy must have hit an odd day. This is their cold season as well.Temp was consistently 24-25 C at night and 29-32 in the day.
I'm told by March it starts heating up :o

Colder?  I can't see it.  Raining more?  Ya, you get the entire year's rainfall though in 1-2 months instead of spread out through out the year :)

I used to live in Miami and I've been through the carribean.  Miami does get cold but once you get south of the keys, any islands on the other side of cuba are warm year round.
