Title: Aprilia MXV 4.5
Post by: 2smoker on December 15, 2009, 03:50:40 PM
This bike is a work of art! ViVa Italia.... 2 cylinders also..I wish it was a 2 stroke, will be a Banshee on 2 wheels! Can you race this one in the 450cc class?????? Only 4 stroke that I would buy! period! I heard they are pretty bad on the reliability side.. But damn..Beautiful! so sexy! Also, they sound 10x better than any Japanese bikes.. But  I think it is banned in AMA. :(

2-strokes will be back on top very soon! NO reasonable dirt bike rider wants a bulky, exspensive 4-SMOKE!

Nice bike!but all they have done is make a 4t fire like a 2t i can think of a cheaper way of doing that ?.But fair play to them they seem to be leading the way with 2t tech with the motors coming from Rotax.

I think the V-Twin is the only proper way to make a four-stroke in a motorcycle.  They look nice, and they tend to sound better.  I wouldn't mind too much if someone made an MX bike that sounded like a Harley Sportster.  But, there's still no excuse for using a 4T over a 2T anyway, unless you're trying to be retro and badass like... well... a Harley Sportster.  Everything else, from cruisers to Ninjas to MX to enduro, should be 2T.  Give me a Maico for the dirt and a 750 Kawi (inline triple 2T!) for the street and I'm set.

WOW it's about time someone (Aprilia) gets some balls and builds a twin cylinder 450. Now can we get a TZ250 engine in a YZ250 frame. Oh yea, I triple dog dare Yamaha to do this. :P
