I searched 2011 yz250 on google and found something interesting. This site said the wet weight of the 2011 yz250 is 226lbs. The 2010 yz250 was 229lbs. Does this mean yamaha actually did something different to the bike to make it lighter.

I also noticed that the 2011 yz125 wet weight was 206lbs and the 2010 yz125 is 208lbs.

Sometimes brochures are just stupid... Good platform but needs an update ASAP. Yamaha wake up!

I'm pretty sure back in '06 or '07, the brochure said 212. I know my '98 model brochure was at 218. They must have gone from dry weight to fully fueled to make the difference smaller between the YZ250 and the porker YZ450F. They also don't want to show that it is lighter than the 250F.

I just can't get over that it's $8400 for a new YZ250! I can't imagine paying that much for a bike I am goign to take out and totally abuse, :) .

Im pretty sure thats not the right price. I got the site from thumper talk and every one on the site was leaving comments saying thats the canadian price not usa.
