Seen a fair few dyno charts and one of the best performing pipes was the the stock 06 YZ. Considering you get one when you buy a YZ250 represents amazing value for money.
99% of aftermarket mass market pipes just shift power around ie take top end and put it down the bottom end and vice versa. Same can be done with a spacer ring and a thin base gasket. Unsexy but very effective.

This is a DEP vs stock, however includes ignition as well.

That said the ignition was not worth too much (I can't find that chart...)

I don't like the power curve of the stock pipe at all. I have a pc on my practice bike and I like it but I want something different. Anyone heard anything good or bad about the GYTR pipes? They look like an FMF pipe to me.

I Raced Bill's Engine in the past in the suzouk! I love Bills and their exhaust sound system sound pretty good.

I personally love the PC.

BUT...that's on a mod bike.

The GYTR is a bills pipe for the 250.  It's so so IMHO.

The FMF is very much like stock delivery...just a tad better.

DEP...is sort of like stock..but much better mid and top.

Have not tested the SST personally, but I have not heard good things.

i found some other brand (cant think of the name now) that is in the UK that looks good. I wonder how the akro works on the YZ's. What I really wanted was one of the custom built pipes from Williams Motor Werks but I guess he does't do them anymore.

bud racing exhausts out of the uk look cool. ive never used one or seen a dyno on one. but they are carbon silencers.. looks cool
