Awesome photos, best of luck on the weekend. Do you guys have the luxury of flying to the races while someone drives the truck, or are you guys hitting the road and driving?
-
Thanks!!
We do not have the luxury of flying.... the whole crew drove out to Illinois last Sunday (14 hours driving time, 5 people stuffed into a king cab!) and later today we are driving 3.5 hours to Red Bud.
-
good luck , I will be thinking of you guys, Let un av it! ;D
-
Good luck at red bud!
-
Sounds like a fun road trip!
Best of luck at the Bud, I can tell you one thing if Mike likes rough sandy/clay mixed tracks with big hits, he is going to love it!!!
As far as the leap goes, I always had vision of doing it but every time I have been there I chickened out, plus usually when I go its all beat down with holes up the face, for the national its going to be prepped and peaked!!
Better have some spare wheels in case he goes for it and comes a little short or far, every friend of mine that has gone for the leap has ruined at least 1 wheel, LOL

Great pictures! Good luck this weekend. I will be away camping but I will have my phone and hopefully someone will be posting updates on twitter.
-
Good luck to the whole crew!!! For the guys and gals that can't be there with you, just know that we are with the team in spirit. Show 'em what two strokes are all about!!! Kick Ass!!!

Great looking bike, great gear, great rider = intemidation for all 4t's >:D
Looking at those pic's, I could just imagine that sound, "on the pipe".
Good luck guys.

Nice pics :D
make them wallpaper size if possible! :D Specially the last one :)
Good luck at Red Bud
-
Wow. Not only does the bike and the rider *look* fast, but they actually *are*, and that's what matters most, the way I see it. Good luck, your project is amazing :)
-
That is a sweet looking pipe, is that the FMF one? The reason I ask this is because you had mentioned that you were having a custom one made as well.
-
Thread Jack: How do you pronounce Mike's last name? I say it as "leave-it" but would like to know how to correctly say it.

Byron is a great track to test on part of district 16. John should have taken a pic of the nucular plant thats this track is known for.Wish I knew they were going there to test it's about 1.5 hrs from me.

Somehow I missed this one....
The traveling team consisted of...
Mike Leavitt
Todd Leavitt
Roger Kelly
Jackie Gillespie
And me....
The five of us all squeezed into a Dodge 3500 similar to the one pictured...
Towing a 26' Thule trailer loaded up with bikes, spares (thanks to Roger), tools, gear, luggage, sleeping bags, food and so much more....
If you saw the size of Roger and myself, we were squeezed into the back seat, but poor Jackie was in the jump seat in the center... for over 14 hours!!!
This trip was done on a very low budget. We stayed at Craig's house during the week and he was very generous in so many ways... he even paid for our dinners out. (Thanks again Craig!)
I have some video of the Nuclear plant as we drove up to the track. Unfortunately we did not have a schedule of when we would be at Byron, so I was unable to let anyone know..
When I have some time I'll edit and publish the video from Byron.
To pronounce Mike's last name - Lev (as in leverage) it. Hopefully that helps!
The pipe is an FMF fatty... and yes we are waiting for the design of a custom pipe from the engine builder... (2T Institute) We will be testing the cylinder and head this week, to see if it improves the power and/or delivery. We're very excited to test it out.

Thanks John for filling us in on the "crew".
Sounds like a great bunch of people.
This Craig guy from MicroBlue Racing sounds like a class act.
Just making it to the track in my book is a win.
Just like what Mike said earlier..people were cheering for him
You surround yourself with good people, stay headed in the right direction, think positive and good things will happen.

With the 'A' in there I would have never pronounced it like that, so thanks John!
