Title: MXA Interview w/ Dennis Stapleton, true privateer
Post by: MXLord327 on June 22, 2010, 11:00:53 AM
Here is an excerpt from MXA's interview with Dennis Stapleton that I thought was good:

MXA: Youâ??ve been racing pro for quite some time. From a true privateerâ??s standpoint, how has the sport changed during your time as a racer, and do you think itâ??s headed in the right direction?

DS: The hardest thing for a privateer is the price of the bikes nowadays. The gas costs a little bit more money, but itâ??s the upkeep of the bikes that pretty much kills you nowâ??the four-strokes are just astronomical in price.

At the National level is really expensive to compete on a four-stroke.... I really feel for those guys!
