Be sure and let us know where you'll be if possible.
Thanks,
Jim

Awesome, sucks ass I cant go, only 2 hrs or so for me, but I have to freaking work till 2 pm that day, oh well, Ill watch practice and stuff live online, lol
-
Awesome news. Can not wait.
Give independence day a new meaning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;D
-
you will get the biggest cheers if your rider can jump LaRocco's leap lap after lap.
-
Awesome, wish I could make it out there. But I doubt it's in the budget.

We will be parked in the Pro Pits... check this out.. we will be in a 40 foot Diesel Pusher with a 26 foot Thule Trailer. There is supposed to be a Corvette parked next to us. We'll be the pit area with two YZ250's and a TM 125 MX...
They park all the rigs Early on Friday morning and no one knows where they will be parked, until that morning... at least that's what I was told.
According to the rules of the AMA and MX Sports we are not allowed to sell shirts, so if you want one you can send payment and I'll deliver the shirts to you if you like (save on shipping!).
Mike has never seen Laracco's Leap in person, so he does not know if he can clear it or not.... he'll know when he walks the track. Probably depend on track conditions.
Lot's of stuff happening all at once!! Gotta go!
-
Oh, god, at last!!!! jajajajajjaja I would have to buy a airplane ticket and sleep the 10+ hours of travel from here to the US.
I think I'll just be wishing you the best luck, and will follow the race online.
Just don't push Mike to clear LaRocco's leap, if he can do it well if not very well then. Maybe a fraction of second lost, but if he crashes thats around 2.592.000 seconds lost (a month out recovering), so the first option is what I call a "fast lap". ;D

Mike, you've got to find someone to fill in for you!! You just have to be there!!!
no pressure... ;D ;D
-
Shoot, if Stewart can clear it on a 2002 KX125 I think Mike has it. Just go wide and hold it wide open all the way up.....
and hope you have good suspension.

I wish I could be there, but unfortunatly I have to work... Just wanted to wish you guys the best of luck. It doesn't matter where you finish... as long as its 1st ... :D JK... I hope you guys have a safe fun day of racing... Fly the two stroke banner proud.
Best of luck, we are all rooting for Project Two 50. :P
-
Thats awesome news!! Im sure Mike will be fine with LaRocco's leap, he is riding an extremely powerful 250 so if the guy isnt afraid to jump he'll do it easy, we all know the bike is capable!!
You guys have to get a good result too as its my 35th on July 3!!
Go Project Two 50 ;D Kick some four stroke arse :P :P
-

We need a thread strictly dedicated to up-to-the minute updates. No posting, no conversation, just from the crew on the road with him.
We're with ya all the way, Rock on!!!

I'll be watching!

Too bad it wasn't Buds Creek, I could have shot down there while back home. Could've even brought the helmet cam for the practice laps. BTW, I heard through the grapevine, Due to AMA and TV copyrights BS, a pro rider cannot have a helmetcam. Just what I was told. ::)

Ask and you shall receive!
Just working out the bugs, but have created a Twitter page for Project Two 50. Since the motocross races now all have Internet access, I'll use my ITouch to make updates from the track...
Make sure that you "follow" us on Twitter. http://twitter.com/ProjectTwo50 (http://twitter.com/ProjectTwo50)
Also working on connecting everything from Twitter to Facebook. Have you become a fan of Project Two 50 on Facebook?
I'll do my very best to post updates on Twitter, so the folks from far off can follow as much as possible. Now I have to check if I can update the Facebook fan page from my ITouch!!
-
I was just about to ask if you had a twitter page, but, you delivered before i could ask:)

I don't know if everybody saw this. John posted on Facebook that their was a write-up about Project 250 in Racer X's Racerhead column. If you didn't get to the website to check it out, here it is:
For you dedicated two-stroke fans, keep an eye on New York privateer Mike Leavitt, who hails from Gardiner, New York, and is a regular in the Southern NY/MSC circuit. Riding under the www.projecttwo50.com (http://www.projecttwo50.com) banner and wearing #794, Leavitt is going to try to put a 2009 YZ250 two-smoker into the RedBud 450 program, as well as the remainder of the East Coast nationals. It is worth noting that a few other local riders have tried qualifying a two-stroke at various rounds this year, but none have actually done the deed and made the final motos.
Project Two 50 was put together by John Nicholas and group of guys from New York. One thing worth noting: you might not see too much smoke coming from the bike, as the group is running a premix ratio of 200:1 with a 205 main (and thatā??s super lean for you fuel-injected guys). Mikeā??s sponsors for the program include Kinetic Audio, Microblue Racing, Amsoil, FMF, DK Construction, Ben Star Racing, and a host of others.
