Title: Mt. Morris
Post by: mjl282 on June 10, 2010, 07:36:27 AM
Hi guys this is Mike with ProjectTwo50. Due to some minor setbacks I will not be able to attend the Mt. Morris National. Not having everything at 100% is not the ideal way to go racing and having confidence in our machine is something that we need to have. I am very sorry for any disappointment. Hope to see you all at Budds Creek.

I am truly sorry

Mike

Hey Mike,

If you say there are some issues to be worked out, we believe you.
We are pulling for you and the crew and hope you guys can get the kinks ironed out and be at 100%.
Its awesome that you, a rider would spend time to come on here and drop a line about the status.
Here's hoping you guys tear up Budds Creek.  Go get-em project Two50 ! ! !  >:D

Well that's disappointing as I was really hoping to see you at High Point. I only make it to High Point and Steel City each year. But I understand the need to be ready to race. No sense in going in at anything less than 100%.

Best of luck at Budds Creek, I hope you do very well!

Coop, we are so sorry about this... you can ask anyone that really knows me... I hate to disappoint anyone. At the same time I have to ensure that we have everything in place so that we can compete and be competitive.

We are working on an extremely low budget compared to any race team on the circuit. This is a massive undertaking when looked at in this light.

Over the past few months we have received many promises of help and unfortunately few followed through.  We are super thankful to all the sponsors that have stepped up to help us in this endeavor. Including Derek Harris for setting the idea in motion.

I take full responsibility for everything that has not worked out properly. I am a man of my word and have not followed through on some of the promises I made to sponsors and fans alike.

We are dedicated to the cause. Two-strokes should be a part of AMA Pro Motocross and Supercross. We hope that in some small way we help to encourage that.

With all that said we will be racing at Steel City... please stop by and introduce yourself.

I sure will John! I wish I was in the position to help financially but I am unemployed right now. I am a full time non-traditional student after two back surgeries and we are living just on my wife's income. If you ever need non-monetary help, I am happy to help anyway I can. I used to work as a motorcycle mechanic up until 10 years ago or so. I still do work on the side, but very limited because of my back.

I really wish you guys the best of luck! I this is a great idea and really support your goals.
