Title: what class can I race in on my RM250 two stroke?
Post by: CCOADY454 on June 03, 2010, 09:35:38 AM
I'm not sure if I'm reading the rules right on AMA events.  The rules say up to 250 two stroke and up to 450 four stroke, but I'm reading on various posts that in amateur class you can ride 250 twostrokes against 250 four strokes?  I'll for sure be in the c-class, but what engine class will I be in?  Oh, and it's an AMA sanctioned track.

CCOADY454 the last time a read the AMA amatuer class C rules "which was in 2007" they stated that in all amatuer classes that you can race a 250cc 2-stroke against the 250 4-chokes as well as the 450cc. 4-chokes.But I would imagine that in C class racing you probably won't have to worry too much about anyone racing a 450cc 4-choke...So go kick some tail on your mighty RM-250 2-stroke!!!! ;)

There's a couple young guys out there on KTM 150's that will SMOKE me.  I'm years out of practice, but I'll be happy to just beat a few 4's while the katoom 2's braaaaap past me, haha.  ;D
