Title: Project Two 50 Schedule Change
Post by: JohnN on May 21, 2010, 05:56:56 AM
Due to unforeseen circumstances Project Two 50 will be unable to compete at the first scheduled event in Texas on June 5th.

Due to our very late start, we just can not get the bike completed and in race shape for Texas. Our schedule included time for us to test in Texas a week before the race. Due to all the testing we have ahead of us this coming week, we require at least another week or more to be ready.

I know that this will be a disappointment to some. For this I apologize. I take full responsibility for us not being ready on time.

In a strange turn of events, I personally will still be attending the race at Freestone. If you have already made plans to attend this event, please PM me and we will make plans to meet up.

The event that our machine will makes it's debut is Mount Morris, PA on June 12th.

Again I am very sorry to have to make this change.

Our goal is to race the entire series in 2011.

Thank you for understanding.

Thats a bummer. Have to wait ONE more week till we see the big YZ howling around the outside of the four strokes. I can definitely understand where you are coming from. You have not had long at all to prepare a pro level race bike.  At the Pro level you need to be ULTRA prepared to even compete and qualify, let alone be successful. Look at it this way, it gives you one more week to gain more followers and more support to cheer you on when you finally do hit the track. Very exciting times.

I'm sorry to here about the change in your plans....  but if you're not 100% ready then don't go.  The change is great news for me, as I was planning an going to High Point anyway, this just gives me another chance to root for Project Two 50....  I will see you both at High Point and at Delmont.   :D

Yeah, take it from me, dont go if not 100% ready, after the luck and crap I had happen to me the last few big events I have gone too I will never go to one again unless I have all my ducks in a row, and my bike is 190% totally dialed in perfect.

Then Ill go, even if Im still a tub of lard! :P

John, and others,
I was just wondering if you will be video taping along the way, sort of keeping a video diary of it all, and I was also wondering if anyone is able to tape the nationals and post them on here as soon as possible as I do not get speed channel with my cable package, this would greatly be appreciated.

We will be videotaping as best as we are able to do... there are many rules and regulations surrounding what a race team can and can not video tape. I believe that it has something to do with the television package and the rights to those...

We will work within these rules to the best of our ability to bring you guys as much information as possible.

We have planned to do some video journal stuff and behind the scenes stuff.. so keep an eye out for that.

motomike894  I appreciate your support and agree with you 100%... well with everything except the last part!  :o :o Although I did see a photo of your new road bicycle on Facebook...

John,

Sorry to hear Project two50 wont be able to race at Freestone this year.  I was really looking forward to meeting everybody.
But I understand that every thing needs be in place in order to give the best effort.
I would however, like to meet up with everyone at Freestone and talk shop, hear more about project two50, and watch some racing.

Todd
