The D-Drive Infinitely Variable Geared Transmission (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6zE__J0YIU#ws)

I wouldn't necessarily like it in something like a sports car or bike, simply because shifting gears makes a large part of the enjoyable experience. However, as a transmission for Mrs. Smith to drive the minivan to the grocery store, or for Billy-Bob chain his truck up to a battleship and tow it into the harbor without burning up a clutch or torque converter, it sounds awesome!

If this type of transmission is "Torque sensing" ie constantly adjusting to load it would therefore be "Traction sensing". Now I know simply suggesting an automatic trans in a two stroke will have me roasted at the stake, however, such a device would skirt "electronic anti wheelspin
" bans in FIM and AMA sanctioned events.
