That is a lot of flips for a 4 stroke lol
-
Man, with flips like that, I bet the crankshaft was just standing still, and the bike was rotating around it (not really.)
-
I dont really like KX's as much as the others but i love that!! BEAUTIFUL!
Nasty crash too....................ouch!!

With Kawi pushing the thumpers, I don't think we will ever see POTO on the smoker. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it, but he still needs to tow the factory line. Yes he's "officially" a member of Pro Circuit, but they are also backed by Kawi. They're not going to allow their "star" show off the attributes of the smoker when they have warehouses full of bikes they need to sell.
just my $.02

Actually Villopoto is a factory Kawasaki rider along with Chad
Reed.
I agree with you though, I doubt we will see him airing out that
KX. Wouldn't be good for sales for a manufacturer that doesn't
sell KX 125/250s (at least in the U.S.), anymore.
dogger

I would change that to say "a manufacturer that doesn't WANT to sell KX 125/250s" ;D ;D

Might just be me but besides a magnesium caliper and fork bottoms whats so special about it?
-
It's purdy!!! :-* :-*
Did you get that package from the USA yet??
-
;DYep thanks for the t shirt/stickers too

whats so special about it?? its full factory.. same bike james rode...
-
It's definitely a trick bike but there's a big difference between a "full" factory bike from nowadays and a factory bike in the 70's.
-
The power delivery and the handling is what is so special about it and looks tits.
-
All titiaium fasteners, Factory plastic is half the thickness, that pipe is not one you get off the shelf, the real beauty of factory bikes are the look stock, but isn;t it really the rider that makes it go fast, I mean even If any of us were on this bike Poto would kick our ass on a 80
-
Aside from the tuning aspect the bikes have billet components, suspension bits we can't get and are hand built. If you're a top shelf tech you can approach todays factory bikes. Works bikes really don't exist in the way they did "back in the day." They're not allowed. Witness some of the privateer teams accomplishments in the past couple years.
In addition I think the bikes like 'Potos smoker are attempts at gauging buyer response to reintroducing two strokes in a difficult economy that shows no signs of going away any time soon. They're far cheaper to manufacture as the tooling/R&D has been paid for for quite some time.
That being said-cool bike.
