Title: Stopped the famous Suzuki RM 2 stroke clutch trouble? I thought I had.
Post by: JaredRM250 on August 08, 2013, 04:25:16 PM
Put new hub in my 2008 Rm250 today and it stopped the clutch from grabbing. But with the engine off, if you try to kick start it in gear it seems to grab! Also with clutch out there is a loud rattle sound but it stops once clutch is pulled in.

Any thoughts much appreciated,
Cheers,
Jared.

i almost put in new basket in my bike - 2006 YZ250
after putting new plates in and it still grabbing.. i didnt want to buy a new basket unless i knew it was definitely that.

so i got a new Cable, found the old one was screwed when comparing new/old pull, and to top it off it wasnt routed properly causing it to be too short!  Yamaha shop routed that cable when they rebuilt it..
the yamaha people kept saying i needed a new basket..
its mint now no more stalling..

Great stuff mate! Check for play in the lever as my clutch cable was tight! also the hub was notched to hell! Any way after a good five 20 minute sessions at my local track its all fixed! Happy days!
