The 2011 YZ-125 on the front of this site is awesome to say the least! For a while I was a little "pissed off"at Yamaha for bringing the YZ-400f out in 1998,actually 97 when Doug Henry raced the first YZM-400 4-STROKE but even now in 2010 Yamaha is still making the 125 & 250 2-strokes which in my opinion is their saving grace.I mean after all they were the first company to start this 4-choke mess to begin with! However since they are still making the kick ass YZ-125 & YZ-250 IN 2011 KUDOS to Yamaha for not letting their GREAT running and good handling 2-strokes go the way of the other Japanese brands like Honda & Kawasaki! From what I've read some people can still buy Suzuki RM-250's in Europe but I'm not 100% sure about that?None the less Thankyou Yamaha for still making the YZ's because they are great bikes for sure!!!!!!! ;D

I agree with you kudosâ?? to yami... yes, if I'm not mistaken Honda is the only one to drop the smoker. I believe you can still get Suzuki and Kawi smokers in Europe, and if I'm not mistaken maybe in Canada.
Letâ??s not forget others are still flying the smoker flag, KTM, TM, Maico to name a few...

I'm not sure which site it is but I was looking at a picture of a factory YZ 2s and a guy in the background had a t-shirt on that read "Real Men Still Mix Their Gas". It gave me a laugh!

However since they are still making the kick ass YZ-125 & YZ-250 IN 2011 KUDOS to Yamaha for not letting their GREAT running and good handling 2-strokes go the way of the other Japanese brands
Whereâ??d you hear that? Has it been confirmed that theyâ??ll do another production run in 2011?

There is an article on this website that confirms that Yamaha are still committed to building 2 strokes for at least the next 5 years. And I would think even longer if current trends continue and people go back to riding and racing 2 strokes !!!!!!!
