Title: I need some help I have a cr250
Post by: codyta94 on May 06, 2013, 01:55:11 AM
I was replacing the piston in a 2001 cr 250 and I noticed the crank was fully submerged in atf fluid. If this is the main crank seal how hard is it to replace and I have a parts bike xan I just pull the seal off that one and use it or what?

Do you like your bike? Buy a new seal.

If the parts bike has the exact same seals than yes, you can pull those and replace them (provided they are in good shape and not worn out either).

I would use a new seal(s) and would also check the crank main bearings for wear.

might as well change the mains while you're there.
