Title: Rm 125 exhaust compatibility
Post by: suzook241 on February 10, 2013, 01:43:38 PM
Have a 2001 RM I am restoring, I wanted to get a different exhaust for it, wasn't sure of what years will fit the 01.  I wanted a PC pipe but on the PC website it says 04 and up.  I wasn't sure if a 04 pipe or other years would fit the 01.  I know the body and mostly the frame is the same from 01 and up, but wasn't 100 percent sure...

I'm pretty sure it's 01- up. Check the FMF website, and see how they list it. I have an 04 with 3 different pipes, so I've looked it up a few times.

My son has the exact same bike and I bought a PC pipe for it. Just call Pro Circuit and they can tell you.

Hey dude.

Silencers are different from 01-02, vs. 03-07.
Pipes will fit 01-up, but to correctly correspond to the porting, it is 01-03 or 04-up

I had  a  01 rm 125,  stock pipe  is  good   when  it  comes on  the pipe  the   lower  mid  hit  is  just  enough  to  make  it  fun, but  very  controlled,   engine  does  it,s  best  work  in the mid,  has  good  over  rev  but it,s  flat.   The   PC  pipe  makes  it  quicker  and   rushes  threw  the   powerband,  have  to  shift  real  quick   to   ride   it correctly.   The   HGS   pipe   has  a  low end  increase   with  a  much   wider  and  stronger  mid   that carrys  into  the topend.  Bill,s  pipe  is   a little  better  than  the PC,  Factory  Suzuki  used  Bill,s  pipes.

It's the right colour. I want to find the plant that spits out pistons, now that would be useful. And rings.
