Post by: YOUNG78 on January 21, 2013, 08:54:33 AM
hey guys, just wondering if i could get some tips on wheelies. im able to do them ok on a four stroke, but two is another level for me. i get it to the balance point and cut the throttle waiting for the compression of a four stroke to bring it down, but it doesnt  :-[ i cant keep it up.. if somone could do a very short step by step to help..

Practise on uphills that way you will have a little engine breaking, when you get good then start doing it on the flat with your back brake to slow you.

Oh and do it on grass not tarmac, when I had my yz 85 I took the skin off most of my right arm by wheelying in 4th along our tarmac lane and hitting the powerband.

Thats the closest call I've ever seen for a wheelie. It looked like his front wheel stepped out a little too. How the hell did he keep that together?

Shanes the expert on expensive superbike wheelies though... :D
