After an in-depth analysis together with Youthstream of the first round of the 150cc 4 stroke Motocross European Championship and following the lack of interest among riders to participate to such event, UEM decided together with the promoter to cancel this Championship from the 2010 European Calendar.

It's not surprising to me.... Honda is looking worse and worse to everyone involved in racing.... it will end up hurting them in the long run.
On the other hand the UEM European 125 Championship had the largest amount of entries, even more than MX 1 or MX 2. Hopefully they will start to see what many of us have been saying all along, the two-stoke is more fun and makes for better racing.

Ha ha, had to email my friend this. He was talking about how Honda knew what the market wanted etc etc, when I told them Honda had to make their own series up. LMFAO

Whats the point of a 150 handicap class ?
Only 1 manufactor makes them. No one else is interested in making them.
The governing bodies need to tell Honda to piss off and build bikes like everyone else.
I have never understood why Honda has so much power politically.
With the success of the 125 class ( and i think it will only get better ) how long do you think Honda will be able to stay away.
With the junior world champs next year being 2 stroke only things are look up.

I just sold my 150 to get my CR and i did race it in the over 40 vet class (lots of stares at this fat old man beating 450's) ;D but they have always been limited in classes for the kids which i think is stupid if you go to any big mini races the 150 doesnt have any advantage over a 85 or 105 if the kid knows how to ride it.I think Honda got caught off gaurd when everyone was going to make 150's till the AMA stepped in and started screwing with the classes and the other companies backed off on them

Your right . The classes need to be sorted out.
And they need to be put in stone with no changing from year to year.
That way manufactors can develop a bike and know they can sell it for a set number of years.
My sugestion:
65cc 2/S
85cc 2/S
125cc 2/S or as some have sugested 150cc 2 & 4 Stroke
250cc 2 or 4
Open, anything goes.

I've said it before, but I think all references to two- and four-strokes should be wiped from the books. Just say that the displacement must be thus-and-so, and leave it to the developers to come up with the better mousetrap, regardless of how many strokes they want to use.

Your right jetz.
I only put 2/S for the minis because that is the only motor that will work.
Unless you can fit a 12 speed gearbox in the frame. Only way you will keep in the powerband on a 20,000rpm 4/S lol

Hey, if they want to try, that's their choice. I'd like to see a little 65cc Formula 1 engine out there. $90,000 minibike!

honda will be sorting things out behind closed doors as we speak .Dont think the honda fim or ama plc will let this go.

Well I say "suck it Honda" :P :P :P The way I see it, Honda tried to push their own agenda with the 150F hand grenades and it has now backfired hahahahahahahaha. Where did they get off introducing a 150 into the 85 class, and getting the rules changed to accommodate this, when at the same time the AMA were disallowing KTMs new 144 because it had to be a bored and stroked 125 only. And the 144 was up against 250fs :o :o
Here in oz I had to ride my 144 against the 450's because it was to big??? for the lites class yet a bike with a bigger engine could be raced against the 85's. Didn't I have some arguments!!
So again "suck it Honda"

That'd be great news for the 2 stroke, but I think we all know it would be sudden death for the 4t, so I figure it's not likely any time soon. Hopefully I'm wrong!

I agree with JETZcorp as well...
... the thing is don't get discouraged... this is not a quick or easy fix, but we have one thing on our side... cc for cc the two-stroke is a lighter, faster machine that costs less to maintain..
Just keep on keeping on... the important aspect to keep in mind is that dirt bike riding is fun!! Enjoy!!
