Title: Cleaning cases for PC 125
Post by: redrider611 on January 12, 2013, 06:04:25 AM
I built a motor for a friend of mine that is restoring a PC125

Motor was trashed but I brought it back to life.

Looks sweet...if the cases are any indication this will be one sweet build.

BTW...What did you use to get them to look the way they do...or is it a "trade secret"?

Well, its a long process.
First remove ALL bearings and shift drum. The have them soda blasted unless you can do it yourself.

After they are blasted they need to be cleaned real good.
Then I use scotch brite pads. In the tighter areas I will use a dremel with a very fine wire wheel.

It takes a awhile but it well worth it.
