Yeah it looks egotistical and all that and before I started doing it I would agree, but its fun to do. For the record I wouldn't be caught dead with a straight cap.

90% of the idiots i see at the races "scrubbing" are wasting there time and energy and if they put as much effort into cornering as they did trying to scrub they would actually go alot faster, you've gitts be pretty god j think to actually scrub effectively. I couldnt watch that vid though so i cant comment on that
Absolutely. And you've got to be hella fast to even make proper use of a scrub. The idea of a scrub is loosing jump height and flattening out the trajectory of the jump. Its essentially a way to loose speed before a jump without grabbing a fist full of brake. So unless you're actually quite fast, its a useless endeavour. They only do it because they see the pros and fast guys do it. I have a jump that I have a good speed up to that I like to hit wide open in second gear. I HAVE to scrub it if I'm committed to third gear because otherwise I just OJ like a mofo.
