Hi I can pickup a sx 250 03 model for $885 it needs a top end rebuild. Is it worth picking it up as a project bike? Is there a aftermarket cylinder set for it or do I need to turn to KTM for parts?
More expensive with original parts I guess?

It sounds like a great deal, is there an issue with the cylinder?
-
it`s this bike here : http://www.blocket.se/goteborg/Ktm_sx_250_43757398.htm?ca=15&w=1
My Swedish is not so good but I think it says it needs new piston and cylinder.

KTM 300SX kit is around 800 USD yes?
that kit bolts straight on and give alot of power
otherwise just hunt around on ebay and you will find a cylinder for a couple hundred dollars

A 300 kit sounds very tempting. FMF fatty pipe or gnarly most suitet for a 300?
-
Looks like it`s to old to get any 300 kit.
And seems to old for many other things I would like to do with the bike. I think i pass on the bike.

I have a head and cycl. for that bike if needed
