The old kdx has probably won more offroad races then any single bike.
I'll have one in the future. Nice comfy seat. ;D

It's surprising how heavy the old KDX 200s were, not much lighter, if any then TMKIWI's TM 300.

That guy is a good rider. The KDX is a fun trail bike with a great motor. Probably competitive in 95 when the last model came out, but don't confuse it with a good woods bike today.

At 240-50lbs, I'm surprised to what I can do with my dads 96. Would love a 86-87 air cooler with modern forks.

Check the the weights (real not advertized) of those old KDXs and you'll be  surprised at how heavy they were. KDXs were built to a price and all the steel bits add up. That is ,unless of course, your TM is a porker. ;)

TMs are not heavy, they are well built motorcycles and are competitive weight wise. However, I am starting to hear about more and more issues concerning the ultra lite 2T KTMs.

I Ride an 02 kdx 220. My dad just "upgraded" to a 13' ktm 300. He had just as much fun on his green one lol. But man, best bike I have ever owned. I'm planning on totally tearing it down,  and rebuilding it. Motor, suspension, touch ups on the frame, every bearing. :D

I think it weighs close to 225lbs actually.. Not totally sure.
