Title: Converting 99-02 KX plastic to '07 KX plastic
Post by: queen of spodes on September 13, 2012, 05:15:10 PM
Love my 02 kx, but it's looking a little long in the tooth.

Has anyone tried converting the '07 plastic to fit a L series KX?   I have the front fender, but the rear fender & side panels look tricky.  Maybe the rad shrouds will bolt on a little easier.    Someone on youtube converted his '97 to '07 front fender/shrouds, but I haven't seen anything like it done on the 99-02 models.

I like my 02 but compared to the '03-07 KX, the rear end & side plates look droopy and dull.

As she is today:

i asked the same things a few years back as i picked a old PC race bike. but from everyone i talked to the frame was too dramatically changed from 02-03 to accommodate updated plastics. you could take a knife to them to cut your own ;)
