Florida has very liberal hand gun laws and concealed carry permits are very easy to get. It wasn't too long ago that Miami actually allowed UNCONCEALED weapons (cowboy style) in preference to concealed carry.

An armed populous is a polite populous!

It's called Open Carry. It is legal in Pa. I carry concealed because I don't like the attention open carry draws. Both from people for it and from people against it.

Despite it's proximity, the US is a completely different culture.Around here,it's difficult to get a handgun(unless you're a criminal)and if you do,you can only use it at a range, carry it in a locked box in the trunk of your car only to and from the range, and must call the cops when you are in transit.
A while back there was a thread on a bowhunting site that asked how many carry a handgun along with their bow when heading to the backcountry. In the US,it was most-here it was none.Go figure :)
