Great article! He really spells it out for everyone. I bet he stepped on some AMA/FIM toes with this article! Though I'm sure someone affiliated(on payroll of the big 4) will counter and try to discredit some of his facts about the contracts/deals of the AMA!

The 73 Elsinore was an industry changer but was it the leader in handling and suspension?Not a chance,the Maico was far superior.The first thing Gary Jones did with his Honda was cut the top frame tube and run the thing into a fence to suck the rake in 2 degrees so it would turn.

I can concur with that statement...  On my 74 Elsinore, I used to sit on the tank to make it turn...  but because of its length, it was one hell of a hill climbing machine.
