Hey I just bought a used rm125 last weekend and am new to dirt biking pretty much. It started up both days I rode it and then yesterday it started first kick and then I accidently dropped the clutch twice, and now the bike won't start at all. I even put a brand new spark plug on, tried to compression start and it just bogs out.. not much compression in kick start either. Any ideas? Much appreciated!

also can not generate spark.

Disconnect the kill switch and see if you have no spark.
If still no spark remove the fuel tank and disconnect each ignition wire 1 by 1 and check the terminals are clean and not corroded.
Let us know after you have done that.
Most no spark problems are a simple shorted or dirty connection.

Yep did all that and even checked my coil at the local shop. I'm stumped..

First eliminate the spark plug, spark plug cap and then as TMKIWI suggested.
If still no spark, have the shop test the ignition coil (as you have done) and the stator.Typically you cannot test your black box so,if the coil and stator are o.k.,by a process of elimination your CDI box will be the defective part.

me to the guy I just bought the bike from: "Hey I'm the guy who bought your bike.. it hasn't run for about a week, I can't get spark to it. I'm not too worried about it just wondering if you knew of the stator or cdi being bad, or did any electrical to it? thanks."
his response: "it did the same thing when I bought it, the woodruff key between the crank and flywheel was bad, I couldn't find a factory one so I found one at the hardware store and made it fit."
..what is a woodruff and how do I repair this? thank you!

A broken flywheel key will only put the ignition timing out not loose you spark.

is that the part I need?

I had a broken key in my RMX. It was still sparking - it would occasionally pop and backfire and not run, but it had spark.
The other time it was not running - and had no spark, the pulse coil failed. It looks to be integral in that diagrm, but is the cube held on with 2 philips head screws on the stator. THe RMX factory manual had a scetion that mentioned a resistance for it, mine was open circuit and we replaced it. IT ran for 15 mins then shat the bed when it then stripped the woodruff key.
For what it is worth, this is the parts listing

key itself is cheap, but if it is something like the stator needing a rewind, not so cheap. the key is 2.67 but doubt this is the problem.
