Title: A Little Tip.

After I wash my foam air filter in solvent I always then wash it in warm soapy water.It's positively scary how much debris comes out with the second washing.I then let the filter dry before oiling it and I've really noticed much less wear in my engines with this method. ;D

Ha, I just toss mine in the washer on warm, and air fluff in the dryer, looks new afterwords.

I usually just put some soap on it and wear it on my head on a rainy day

I hand wash mine in the bathroom sink with oxyclean. Works well.

I thought you lived at home? I am surprised your mom doesn't string you up for that (if you are serious that is haha). I used to wash mine by hand, but put them in an old pillow case and put them in the dryer until my wife caught me doing it. I thought she was going to have a stroke as she panicked that I was ruining the dryer LOL.

I usually fill up the sink and wash it by hand after a long day of riding and let it dry over night. Then its back in the air box  ;D

They don't like dirt and dust? I have a septic tank, but I have never heard that cleaning an air filter was harmful to it  :-
