Title: 2010 Suzuki RM250
Post by: JohnN on March 12, 2010, 12:17:56 PM
Here's another machine that I found on the Internet... is it or is it not a 2010 RM250 two-stroke machine?

Looks like it could be!

I was about to say, that looks like an 05/06 RMZ with a 2 stroke motor shoved in there (pure heaven if it's an 06+ RM250 motor :) ) Before I sold my 06 RMZ450 I debated shelling out 1500 to have a local company that specializes in 500AF conversions to do just that for my RMZ (though I was leaning towards a 500 motor, couldn't really decide on the 500 or 07 RM250 motor swap).

Quite a bit I'm sure. Only issues I have heard is that the steelie actually handled BETTER than the aluminum framed RMZs... So it's really just the bling factor. But I'd own one for sure :)

The steely carries the gas lower. The perimeter frame actually carries the gas above the cylinder.

Yeah thats just a bullcrapped photo, unfortunatly, the best thing I ever saw was like a year or so ago someone had photos of a rmz250 framed rm 125, looked production and everything, they had a modded one and a stock one, these were actual bikes, I have ridden a RMZ250 and that thing cornered awesome, I personally think better then my 2-stroke, so I have dreams about fidning a blown up pos 250f and putting my engine in it!

The RM250 is the best handling bike ever.period. This bike is just so fun to ride! Give me updated plastics with dfi and I will buy 2 of them!

I think that might depend on where you're riding.  I guarantee that if you brought the RM onto one of the desert roads my group rides, it'd have a hard time with the low-slung '74 Maico.  Those things could drift like a flat-tracker, but could also cut-and-thrust like a ricocheting bullet (only after you replace the front brake with one that works, though.)  They couldn't jump for shit, but were just something else on natural terrain tracks.

Ah, that's better.  I was wondering if I'd be able to get my daily rant in.

That photo is so photohacked it's not funny. I can see where the pipe goes into the cylinder that looks like a 4 stroke cylinder to me. And the best part is the faint white line above the throttle cable, you have to look hard but it's there.
