which carb is better for the 2007 honda cr125 keihini airstriker carb or a psi genisis big air carb?
-
....I wanna hear this....personally there are such huge benifits from other mode like porting pipes and other things that I've never heard of a need for anything other than oem....kiehn on mine
-
After reading your question I thought "What the heck is a PSI Genisis carb" and after investigating I learned the company may not be in business. For the cost of the carb you could almost pick up a second used CR125.
-
the psi I know is more performance but im asking about for the jetting the mikuni carbs are crappy carbs i know keihin is better jetting but doesnt add performance i wuz just wondering which would be better for the jetting as aposed to power
-
go for a keihin pwk 36. it's easyer to tune and you'll get a better throttle response. go for a pwk 38 if your aim is top end!
-
where can i find a keihin pwk36 for my 2007 honda cr125??? and can i send it to dicks racing for a 36 to 39 conversion and dialajet is it possible and has anyone done this?
-
you can get a carb on ebay or try keepitroostin, they sell lots of used mx parts.
about that carb mod, don't know man, sorry!
-
thanks man really apreciate all the info ur a life saver ive been looking and finally found this forum
save the two strokes
-
The dialajet mod is for the 2012 ktm 250 ac....I doubt they have developed hardware and or data required for a cr....we are the abandoned kids....Honda hates two strokes and everyone seems to have dropped them in favor of ktm tm maico and I hate to say it but the way way way over hyped 2010-2012 us 250/125 wich are overweight and have been neglected for almost a decade

Your 07 cr125 has a 38mm carb, nothing wrong with that carb, jetting is a bit off,I changed the pilot, maybe the needle-don,t remember, and the main jet. With an icat, radvalve, everything else stock,it has quicker throttle response than 90,s pro suppercross bikes I rode. That psi carb is from the mid 90,s I heard it was a great carb, team Noleen yz250 used them.

Anybody know what bikes came with a Keihin pwk36??

Way to expensive for that carb, it used to be on ESR250.com in the 250r section, but its gone now. I think newer KTM 125's came with 36mm pwk carbs.
