Wish he would race the thing!
-
Yea he should race that bike!
Looks great and sounds good too.
But as i also mentioned in another thread;
If the pro riders show us their 2 strokes, yet they choose the 4 stroke for 99% of the time,
that's not really helping the 2 stroke comeback.
Because big groups of fans from the current Monster Energy bandwagon era
will think that 2 strokes are playbikes instead of real serious motorcycles.
But, if Jason Weigand starts talking positive about the 2 strokes, there is hope for future changes. :)

EJ the pro national riders didn't choose to ride the 4 strokes it's the manufacturer's that chose to go to 4 stroke all the racers do is race the bikes. If the manufacturer's would choose to switch back to 2 strokes tomorrow there would be nothing at all the riders could do about it. It's there jobs to race what ever the factory teams supply them with. I wish they would go back to 2 strokes myself but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Yup, it's a marketing and/or brainwash thing, about money and power...
It's painfully obvious how they belittle the 2T, and hype up 4T, every slightest chance they get.
BTW, welcome here to the forum. :D

Thanx EJ
It's actually got alot to do with the government and how they are trying to crack down on polution and noise and its just really sad that motocross had to become a victom of it all. I'm a die hard 2 stroke fan myself and been racing 2 strokes since the late 70's current bike is a 2002 Honda CR125 and to me there's nothing better than the smell of pre-mix. And more than likely if you would ask any of the national pro's out there now how they feel about the 2 strokes probably 80% or more would say they love them and would love to race them. But all the stipulations they have in there contracts they are not aloud to say that. And maybe just maybe in time the 2 strokes just might be back and screaming around the national tracks again! :o

guys, I love 2 strokes just as much if not more than the rest of yall but if I was a pro racing in the 250f class there is no way I would ride a 125. Why put yourself at the disadvantage? Now a factory KTM 150sx that's a different story.
-
Government cut down on pollution, that was a lie told to us, they have never cracked down on off-road stuff. If you have ever lined up with a bunch of 4$ on a starting line you would know you can't even hear your own bike.
-
I'm agreeing with streaks here. If the government was cracking down like they say, we wouldnt have ORV parks.
-
At this point, any publicity for 2-strokes is good. 2-strokes have, and always will have hot-rod-sex-appeal.
4-strokes never will.

I also agree with streaks but who are we when it comes to the goverment?
