me and my buddy both had 250 2 strokes at the pit and my other buddy had a 450 4 stroke and he had a harder time climbing stuff then us and my friend had a bald tire on his cr 250 and that was like my 2nd time ever going to the pit

We all hear constantly about the 4T traction advantage but I've noticed as well their tendency to bore themselves into the side of a sandhill rather then go up. Living here in the great white north I've also noticed the 4T$ habit of spinning rather then hookup on icy ground. ;D

4t steer more with the front tire and the 2t steers more with the back so the 4t digs in more than a 2t

Best aspects for sand are horsepower and light weight. big modern 4T has the latter. 2T has both.

Looks like a fun place to ride, welcome to the site. :)
Don't mind Swapper's negative comments.

When we were kids we had a blast roaring around the local gravel pit.
