Just wrote to Super Hunky and received permission to re-print an article from his web site. It's about the cost of rebuilding a 450F and the recommended service intervals....

That was really entertaining, to say the least. Thanks!

With a 4 year old and one on the way, It's tough to keep my 2T in good shape! I can't imagine owning a new bike, probably having a hefty monthly payment, and then rebuilding the engine for that kind of money! It's embarrassing to watch our economy go down the drain and for the big companies to continue to try squeeze every hard earned penny from our pockets!
Here's the "Kicker," Most of the MOTO-X tagalongs out there are literally buying into all the B.S. there selling(force feeding).
I know I'm preaching to the choir on this one, but I'm tired of seeing/hearing all the propaganda that is destroying our sport/hobby/lifestyle!!!

I'm citing that article in my big-bad English paper on the subject.  That's just too good to pass up.  Always great to hear from the Super Chunk.

When I corresponded to Super Hunky he wrote back saying...

 "Stay tuned ...
our four stroke battle has just  begun."

Just read Part II on Superhunky.com

We get to read about Mike Cuddy doing his impression of a stoned teenager calling the Suzuki shop about an RMZ450.

And it appears as though my teacher won't let me cite websites in the big paper I'm doing, so Super Hunky isn't going to be accepted.  However, I have found a way around this!  I'll repeat the experiment by calling up some shops myself!

hahaha, this is great, i cant get enough of these stories. i just had to make a call myself. it was identical to the rest. the best part was the end. the guy told me straight up to just off my bike and he would get me into a new 09 crf 450 for around 5k+. and we all know why the 09 450r is that cheap, because its a stink bug pile.... at least he told the truth. i mean it makes sense. he had my repairs from 1500-1800 without a cylinder, around 800 for a new one and we neve got into the bottom end costs. i couldnt ask him to get me into a yz because it was a hon kawi dealer. this is a fun game... i feel so good about making the change from 4t to 2t now.

I think it would be cool if this turned into a major viral meme, with hundreds of people calling up dealers and pretending to ask about blown up bikes.
