I'll bet it's broken a ring, sounded like crap the whole vid.
She'll need piston kit and maybe a replate.

Motor didn't sound right even for a 125! Sounded like it was trying to seize during the entire vid. Complete investigation warranted.

My tone deafness must be striking again -- I can't tell that the bike sounded bad.

What do you look for - or what are the signs?

The bike was boging all the time out of corners.
I just thought he wasn't riding it on the pipe enough. :-[
Maybe I am going deaf as well. ;)

Sounded like he was trying to get it on the pipe but she just wouldn't pull.
Didn't have that crisp sound it shoulda. sounded flat.

Definitely did not sound right.

sounded a bit like it was being ridden like a four pig, in a gear too high all the time but when it did sing it sounded like a slipping clutch to me too.

Ditch the four pig Sam and buy yourself a smoker and just remember to rev the shit out of it, use the clutch and be in the right gear all the time and youll be having even more fun...

125's are hard to ride if you arent uesd to em, i hadnt ridden one for at least ten years and rode a 150 12 months ago and i was constantly off the pipe coz im used to 250 smokers, but practice makes perfect  :D :D

Yeah thats what I was saying in an earlier post. He just didn't know how to ride it on the pipe. If you know how to ride a two stroke, whether it's dying or not you can keep it on the pipe. I've seized my Cr80 twice and Yz125 once and I never bogged like that.

Even when it was on the pipe, the engine didn,t sound right. Check spark plug, plug wire, wore piston, reeds, vent tubes from carb melted, air filter. A properly tuned  05-07 cr125 sounds great, and has awesome throttle response. Install a rad valve-polish the inside smooth, install an icat, with a stock pipe the engine is better than a new YZ 125.

Not too sure about that but I'd love to see a comparison.

I wrote that while I was stranded at the Chicago terminal, trucks in the shop again.Sitting in a plastic chair for more than a day, waiting for a ride to go home,it,s my 12th truck since march, which is crazy. With those up grades the cr125 runs much better, huge improvement bottom though mid range, making it equal to a new YZ125. Then it comes down to who can brake latter and get though a corner the fastest, then getting traction to drive out of a corner, getting your weight back on the rear wheel to hook up. All these movement are to be extremely agreessive, while being smooth. There now your a 125 specialist, ALL  450,s will fear you. ;D  PS I,m on ice bags from driving that junk truck, can,t wait to do it again, not.

If it was a 4T the bill might have been a bit higher that what you will see.

Full tank of what?  You did remember to pre-mix, right?

it was my mates bike, he puts the fuel in and i dont think he is stupid enough to not mix the oil hahahahha, i hope he isnt that stupid anyway, he said it was about to blow up anyway because he has never changed a piston in it for a good year, and he has never changed his air filter or gear box oil, but i have told him now to take more care of his 2 smoker :)

Deffinately rideing a gear too high all the way around the track how dirty was the air filter? sounded like it coulda been totally covered with dirt and not allowing the engine to breath at all.

:-X  How can you ride a bike like that and never change the airfilter or gearbox oil. You're just on a mission to destruction then.
