Title: Hero for a Day
Post by: JohnN on January 27, 2010, 07:19:52 AM
Just posted on the main site an article about Ryan Orr racing an RM250 two-stroke at the Nationals in 2007.

Please check it out!

Would anyone like to see a two-stroke compete in the Outdoor Nationals this year against the handi-capped 450's??

This is only a rumor, but there is a very good chance that the bike will be ridden up at Unadilla... stay tuned for details. If so, I'll be there as well!! ;D ;D

Why don't more people just try and qualify on two strokes? they would be able to do it more and live more comfortably, it would be a lot cheaper, and think about it, the guy on the two stroke will get hi sponsors more attention that the big factory guys, people love two strokes. Period.

If this works out... we may have a bit more to offer than a handshake!!  :D

Hondacrrider - you bring up a great question... many folks are convinced that the four-stroke is better under all situations.... in many cases they are correct because of the almost double displacement handi-cap!! Most racers feel that in order to capture the attention of the "factories" that they have to be racing a four-stroke, because that whats the manufacturers want.

But I know for a fact (first hand information direct from the rider) that one top pro was told NOT to race his two-stroke by the manufacturer that sponsored him!!

These manufacturers want you to buy, what they want you to buy and will do whatever it takes to convince everyone they are right!!

The problem is that it's not working. People may have been fooled at the beginning, but now many local racers are seeing the light. 2010 will be a big shakedown year for the four-stroke drug pushers!
