i'd like to see someone kick starting that bigbore bike!
-
That is a lot of bike for a leg to kick over! I'd give it a shot with my Astrisk braces on! :D
-
Between the AF conversions and these big bore specials the CR500 seems to be developing a cult following.
-
$5000!?!
-
Madness! But, if i had a CR 500 and $5k just layin around i might be tempted
-
they do include a lot of parts on that big price
and they say will custom machine a decompresor ,so no problem starting that :P
but wtf what to do with that much power????
-
That's just about the same bore & stroke combination as 1 cylinder of a 327 Chevy V-8......
-
That's a beautiful thing.

For that money, just get a Maico/Zabel 680 motor and slip it into the CR or CRF frame. The mounts are really close to the CR500. I know of a few CR frames with the Maico/Zabel motors.

Wow, that's funny. That shop is not far from me at all.
When they mentioned Doug Danger in their 'about us' section.. my ears kinda perked up. DD was a stuntman known fairly well throughout the 90's, and was a salesman at a local Honda shop. He rode my first bike out to my dads truck, an XR100, back in 1990 or so. That was a big deal to me back then, and...is still kinda cool.
Hillclimbing is also rather big (for an underground sport) here in New England. They mention that a few times in their about us section. I'd imagine that CR600-and-whatever would own some hills.

Just think if a 327 Chevy was a 2 stroke (roughly 5,360cc's) in a 1900lb car and there would be an equal power (or moreso engine size) to weight ratio comparison to a CR640. CRAAAAZY!!!
