Being a fan of Yamaha id love to have that but with it ported by eric gorr, leaving my school to go to a tech school for machining this upcoming school year, i may just attempt this as well

Bada-s, if he only knew how to mount a front fender.

It certainly is.
People that make things themselves, are what it's all about.
I think, with a bit of thinking on the cooling fluid flow, and putting in a electric water pump, as people have suggested to the fellow who made it, and his mate that posted it up, it would be a good thing. You can easily fit IT stators to the engine, to give you a power source for an electric waterpump. Or there are plenty of tiny LiPo type batteries you could run in constant loss.
That and making a better mid mount in the cradle (all that work, and they don't make a proper lower cradle mount, but just have an extremely dodgy flat bar going forwards to the case - some things leave you scratching your head, at times), sorted jetting, with a modern carb, and they have a unique bike. The 465 / 490 engines were good things, but the combustion chamber (and lack of watercooling, to a certain extent, especially at higher levels of racing), with carbs that were not the greatest, gave them such a bad rep. Sort them out, and they are a lovely engine.

That is a awesome looking YZ-490 & I hope the builder gets everything figured out & takes the 490 beast out on the track! I'd love to see how well it runs! ;D

Impressive.
