Title: rm fender on a yz 250
Post by: thepope on June 15, 2011, 02:13:57 AM
Do you think a 02- fender would fit a yz 250? i probably would have to drill new holes but other than that?
was thinking of getting one in white :P

Not without some major cutting and butchering. Look at pictures of the two fenders (ebay is good for that) and you will see they are not even close on the inner fender sections.

Start with the RM rear fender and systematically replace all of the YZ parts with Suzuki parts and you will have a nice moto rig.Right Ford? ::)

You could try it, but it may be easier getting a white fender from another year of the YZ ;)

Lol,sorry Sachs but you can't get me on that-I'm a big RM fan.I love the handling and the newer RM engines are virtually a YZ clone.Yamaha's are just a little better quality.I'd take either-or preferably both in various sizes  8)

So they guys claims the Maico he's selling is far better than the YZ he's keeping?  :o uh-huh.
I hear ya Sachs,I always believe whatever a bike seller says too.

The 74 1/2 Maicos are the bikes that started the long travel revolution and they are worth a fortune. The guy would probably lose money on the YZ. ;D

At least the modern Harley Fordisons have a nice fit and finish, the 70's AMF stuff made Soviet farm tractors look refined.
