wow! that is about as frankly put as it gets. i would dearly love to see Yamaha update the bike, though if they're charging premium dollar for 2006 technology what would they charge for 2012 technology?!

I love their writeups, but sure am waiting to see if they or anyone will step up to the plate and run full shootouts this year.

Best part is that I own one (08). Factory Connection suspension makes the best even better. By far the best bike I have ever owned.

Meh, in my honest opinion buying a 2011 YZ250 is about like buying a new 4-stroke. Yamaha has mailed this bike in since '06.  If I'm going to pay top dollar for a new bike give me a TM or KTM.  Otherwise I'll buy an '06 YZ and be riding the same thing for not even 1/2 the cost...

Mxa should be doing these reviews on ktms or tms, not yamaha. When mxa did their 250 test and didn't include a two stroke myself and a few others gave them a blast on their Facebook page. Their reply was that the 2 stroke would have beaten the 4 strokes like it did in the test between the yz an yzf so there was no point. BS.

They won't step up cos there would be repercussions from people who pay for ads in their magazine

I just posted something on there, everyone should go "like" it.  We need to get one of these magazines to start the ball rolling and then the others will have to follow.  Every KTM or Yamaha 2 stroke wins shootouts and it will lead to sales on the street. People will speak with their wallets.
