Here's an article that just warms the cockles of my heart!! This was posted on Thumper Talk of all places, but not only that he got the owner of Thumper Talk to ride his new two-stroke as well.
I love reading this stuff!!

Just a warning, they must have gotten a bunch of stuff for free, because it comes across like an advertisement for a hop-up shop and the Thumper Talk store.
But the decision to change was worth ignoring the ad!!

That was funny. They were just amazed at the performance of a 2 stroke, but you can still tell that they are $4t proud (I gave it a 4 on motor because I am used to all the 4 stroke toque).

Maybe if they made it a 265 and did some port work they wouldn't be missing any torque.I am working towards a similar build from Derek at hp bikes.Should be killer!

Or, they could do the right thing and compare an open class bike (the 450) with another open class bike (like a SH CR 500, SH KX 500 or the Maico 500, or 620, or 685).
That's the correct way to do a comparison.
Never gonna happen. It will expose the 450 for the slow revving, underpowered pig that it is.

Ir's funny when they compare a 4smoke to one of the AF bikes. They will sometimes say that the rider was faster on the af500 but they rather ride the 4junk because it is easier to ride.Cracks me up.
-
Thats just because they are lazy Pu$$y$ and want to ride that way.
-
Here is another thought about the test riders liking the four-strokes better, even when they go faster on the two-stroke..... they get free four-strokes form the manufacturers and most likely would not be able to get a free new two-stroke....
I'm just saying..... :-X :-X

yep there is a name for that in journalism ,cant remember what its called ?

And then the 4 strokers came, and everybody wanted one because it was "IN" and well advertised.
I sold a bundle,I raced them, testet them in order to know how to answer questions from my customers.
KTM 400-450-...Not bad when they new and properly set up,but....
they went older, and the first customers needed some big overhauls(or big repairs). Most of them could not do the repair(no special tools or infos).
And then came the BILL.And they woke up and said"Holy Cow" I better go back to my 2 strokers where I could do a piston swap in 3 hours myself.
And so a lot of my customers will go back to 2 strokers.
And that is what I can reed a lot on KTMTALK too....
